Sekou Gassama signs with Rasisalai United in Thailand

Sekou Gassama, the Spanish-Senegalese forward, has signed a one-year contract with Rasisalai United FC in Thailand's Thai League 1. The move follows a period of inactivity after his departure from Universitario de Deportes in Peru.

Gassama's tenure at Universitario was marked by difficulties in adaptation and physical conditioning. During his time with the Peruvian club, he appeared in seven matches across Liga 1 and the Copa Libertadores but failed to record any goals or assists. His contract with the institution was terminated by mutual agreement in June.

The transfer to Rasisalai United was facilitated by Diego Bardanca, a former Spanish footballer currently working as a transfer agent in Bangkok. Gassama joins a club currently struggling at the bottom of the Thai League 1 standings, having secured only one victory thus far this season.
