Selangor aims to accelerate industrial transformation through smart technology

Selangor is positioning itself as a strategic hub for industrial transformation by integrating artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable manufacturing, and smart energy solutions. During the launch of the Selangor Techsphere Summit (STS) 2026, Tim Bostridge, Managing Director of Hannover Fairs Asia Pacific, noted that the state's diverse industrial base, highly skilled workforce, and progressive policies provide a strong foundation for technological innovation.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari highlighted the NCT Smart Industrial Park as a model for advanced industrial development. He emphasized that integrating smart technology and integrated management into industrial parks is essential for increasing competitiveness and attracting high-value investments. Shari expressed the state's intention to expand exploration into new technologies, including semiconductors and nuclear energy, to meet future energy demands and sustain economic momentum.

The initiatives are part of the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026, which aims to establish the state as a gateway to ASEAN for international trade and business.
