Selatin Novosella promotes monograph on Ilmi Ramadani

A new monograph titled ‘Ilmi Ramadani – Veprimtari qëndrestar’ by author Selatin Novosella was promoted at the National Library of Kosovo. The 485-page book documents the life and activism of Ilmi Ramadani, a former KLA soldier and political prisoner who faced multiple long-term prison sentences during the Yugoslav occupation, including in 1975 and 1982.

The event, held on the first anniversary of Ramadani’s passing, was attended by political figures, including the Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, and former Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj. Rama emphasized the importance of documenting the testimonies of former political prisoners to preserve the history of Kosovo’s struggle for freedom for future generations.

Professor Ramë Buja, who served as the book’s editor, described the work not merely as a biography, but as a structured and analytical monograph studying Ramadani’s contributions to the national cause.
