Selemet receives millions for local development projects

Four local development projects have been completed in the village of Selemet, Cimișlia District, through national programs including ‘European Village’, ‘European Village Express’, and ‘Europe is Near’. These initiatives were funded by the state budget via the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

The investments targeted public lighting, water infrastructure, a cultural center, and road rehabilitation, aiming to improve living conditions for approximately 3,000 residents. Key achievements include the installation of 12.85 kilometers of LED lighting network and 370 lighting fixtures.

To address critical water access issues, the state allocated over 8.3 million lei to drill two artesian wells and rehabilitate 11.59 kilometers of water pipeline network. This follows a period where nearly 40% of the population lacked access to water due to equipment failure.
