Selendi provides milk cooling tanks to 113 female producers
In the Selendi district of Manisa, 113 female producers have received milk cooling tank support through the 'White Power: Selendi’s Milk Road' project. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and implemented via the Zafer Development Agency.
The project's primary objectives are to strengthen the cold chain, maintain hygiene standards, and increase the economic value of milk produced by local farmers. By ensuring milk is stored at appropriate temperatures immediately after milking, the project aims to reduce quality loss and improve final income for producers.
Muhammed Hadi Dilek, President of the Selendi Milk Producers Union, emphasized that empowering women in production will strengthen both family and local economies. Local officials, including the Manisa Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, noted that the tanks will work in conjunction with milk collection vehicles to ensure the integrity of the cold chain throughout the process.
