Selkirk Copper reports high-grade intercepts at Minto North
Selkirk Copper Mines Inc. has reported high-grade drilling results at its Minto North project in the Yukon. A specific drill hole, 26SCM209, intersected 5.4 metres of 9.27% copper, alongside 7.43 grams per tonne gold and 54.9 grams per tonne silver. This intercept represents a copper-equivalent grade of 15.11%, placing it in the 99th percentile of more than 4,300 significant historical intercepts at the Minto site.
The Phase 2 drilling program has now exceeded 52,000 metres across 224 holes. Recent results indicate that the 202 Lens remains open to the northwest, with mineralization appearing to follow a north-northwest trend.
Selkirk is working toward restarting the Minto copper-gold-silver mine, with a target for first concentrate production in the second half of 2028. A resource update related to these Phase 2 results is expected in the first quarter of 2027.
