Sellas Life Sciences shares rise on oncology sector momentum

Sellas Life Sciences shares rose 13 percent following positive Phase-3 results for a personalized mRNA cancer vaccine, INTerpath-001, reported by Moderna and Merck. While the results were not directly from Sellas, the breakthrough in immune-based oncology has bolstered investor confidence in similar therapeutic approaches.

Sellas is currently conducting its own pivotal Phase-3 REGAL study, testing its drug galinpepimut-S (GPS) for acute myeloid leukemia. Market anticipation is high as the study approaches its 80th survival event, a key statistical trigger for final data analysis. This anticipation is reflected in options trading, with call option volume increasing by approximately 103 percent. Since November, Sellas stock has seen a significant increase of 968 percent from its low.
