Sellier & Bellot factory explosion in Vlašim injures two

An explosion occurred on Wednesday morning at the Sellier & Bellot ammunition factory in Vlašim, Czech Republic. The incident took place in a facility where primers, which are used to ignite gunpowder, are prepared.

Two workers were injured during the blast. One individual was transported to Vinohrady Hospital with moderate injuries, while the second patient reported tinnitus, such as ringing or buzzing in the ears.

Police officials stated that the explosion was likely caused by the improper handling of a primer by a worker. Authorities confirmed that there was no further danger of fire or additional explosions, and the incident remained contained to the specific work area.
