Selm administration proposes increasing Olfener Straße speed limit

The city administration of Selm is proposing to increase the speed limit on Olfener Straße from 30 km/h back to 50 km/h. The 30 km/h limit was originally implemented in 2022 following resident complaints regarding speeding and high accident risks.

Officials cite a decrease in accident rates and noise pollution as primary reasons for the proposed return to 50 km/h. A decision has been postponed as authorities continue to review questions and motions regarding the local traffic situation.
