Selm Blood Donation Schedule Announced by German Red Cross

The German Red Cross Blood Service West has posted a series of blood‑donation appointments in Selm that run through the end of the year. Sessions are scheduled for July 27, September 29, October 8, December 7, December 8 and December 17 at venues including the Bürgerhaus Selm, Rosa‑Parks‑Schule, the Städtisches Gymnasium Selm and the Clever‑Fit gym. Each donation takes about five to ten minutes and yields roughly 500 ml of blood, enough to potentially save up to three lives. The service emphasizes that donors must be at least 18 years old, in good health, and urges participation especially during the summer when regular donors are often on vacation, creating a shortage of blood supplies for hospitals.
