Selm to host ‘The Gruffalo’ puppet theater performance

The Wolfhager Figurentheater will perform the puppet play ‘The Gruffalo’ at the Bürgerhaus in Selm on November 29. The production is designed for children aged four and up, as well as adults.

Based on the internationally successful children's book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the story follows a small mouse who uses her imagination to navigate the dangers of the forest. To deter predators like the fox, the mouse invents a fearsome creature called the Gruffalo. The play explores themes of fantasy and courage.

Originally published in 1999, the book has sold over 13.5 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 107 languages.
