Selm to install four new e-bike charging stations

The city of Selm is expanding its cycling infrastructure by constructing four new e-bike charging stations. The project, managed by the local municipal utilities (Stadtwerke), is scheduled to begin construction next week.

The new stations will be located at the Landsberg parking lot in Selm, the Selm-Beifang station, the Bork station, and Stephanus-Park in Bork. At the Landsberg parking lot, a new bicycle shelter will also be installed to provide weather protection for cyclists.

Charging at these new locations will be free of charge. The city aims to promote cycling and improve connections between e-bike travel and rail services, particularly at the station locations. Construction will proceed in stages, starting with civil engineering and foundation work followed by electrical connections. A specific timeline for when the stations will be fully operational has not yet been released.
