Selma Yudha enters race for 60th NUGS presidency

Selma Yudha has officially entered the race for the 60th presidency of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), distinguishing herself as the only female candidate in the contest.

Yudha’s campaign focuses on responsive and inclusive leadership, aiming to address critical issues such as the rising cost of education, employment uncertainty, and inadequate student representation. She has pledged to prioritize student welfare, mental health, innovation, and advocacy, seeking to make NUGS more visible and responsive to students in universities, nursing training institutions, and colleges of education.

Her background includes leadership roles in international diplomacy, having served as Vice Chair for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) during conferences in Addis Ababa. She has also held leadership positions within the Rotaract Club of Accra Dome.
