Selçuklu Municipality Hosts Palestinian Students and Families in Konya Workshop Event

The Selçuklu Municipality in Konya, Turkey organized a day of activities for Palestinian students and their families who are staying in the city after being displaced by the conflict in Gaza. The event took place at the municipality’s Development and Technology Academy and featured workshops in jewelry design, fashion and toy making, where participants created items bearing the Palestinian and Turkish flags. Local primary‑school pupils from Piri Reis and Osmangazi schools also joined the programmes. Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı expressed solidarity, saying the municipality stands by its “Palestinian brothers” and that such social‑integration projects help the guest students adjust to life in Turkey. The gathering concluded with a group photograph and thanks from the visiting families.
