Semaine Bleue 2026: National senior appreciation week in France

The 2026 edition of Semaine Bleue, a national week dedicated to retirees and seniors in France, will take place between September 28 and October 14, 2026. The national theme, “Relions tous les âges dans des territoires engagés!” (Let's connect all ages in engaged territories!), focuses on intergenerational links and the social, economic, and cultural contributions of older adults.

Various municipalities are organizing local programs to celebrate the event:

• Alfortville: Hosting activities from September 28 to October 10, including cultural, convivial, and prevention-focused meetings.

• Caveirac: Offering a week of animations from October 5 to 9 for those aged 65 and over, featuring fall prevention workshops, guided walks, card games, and chair yoga.

• Miribel: Organizing events from October 5 to 11, including health walks, road safety awareness, chair choreography, and digital café sessions to foster community connection.
