Semana do Cinema offers discounted movie tickets across Brazil

The ninth edition of the ‘Semana do Cinema’ (Cinema Week) is currently underway across Brazil, offering discounted movie tickets until September 16. The promotion aims to increase theater attendance by providing fixed-price tickets: R$ 10 for sessions starting before 5:00 PM and R$ 12 for sessions after that time.

In Rio Claro, Grupo Cine do Shopping Rio Claro is participating in the initiative. In Campo Grande, major networks including Cinemark, UCI, and Cinépolis are offering reduced prices for traditional sessions, including weekends. While standard 2D and 3D sessions follow the R$ 10 and R$ 12 pricing, special formats like Prime or D-BOX seats may have different promotional rates.

According to the National Federation of Film Exhibition Companies (Feneec), previous editions of this campaign have driven over 26.7 million people to cinemas nationwide. The February 2026 edition alone saw more than 3.9 million tickets sold.
