Semana Farroupilha celebrations honor Gaúcho traditions
The Semana Farroupilha celebrations are underway, highlighting Gaúcho traditions through community events and themed products. In Tangará da Serra, the CTG Aliança da Serra has launched its 38th edition of the festivities. The event, themed “Fundadores: A chama que nunca se apaga,” honors those who helped establish the local CTG and includes activities such as the lighting of the Chama Crioula.
The ten-day program features various cultural activities, including card game tournaments, traditional dinners like Porco à Paraguaia, and musical performances. The festivities will conclude on September 20, Gaucho Day, with a religious service and a competitive barbecue event.
In the commercial sector, Doces Boa Vista is participating in the seasonal celebrations by releasing three new products designed to evoke traditional flavors. The “Doce Semana Farroupilha” initiative includes the launch of Paçoca Caseira Ivoti, chocolate-covered peanut blocks, and crunchy Pé de Moleque, aiming to connect consumers with regional culinary heritage.
