Semberija cabbage producers expect stable autumn supply despite drought

Cabbage producers in Semberija report that despite recent droughts and high temperatures, there will be no shortage of cabbage this autumn. The availability of the crop is secured through irrigation capabilities, as water remains accessible at depths of approximately six meters in fertile areas like Obarska and Trnjaci.

Savo Bakajlić, president of the Association of Villages of Semberija and Majevica, stated that the quality of this year's harvest is good and sufficient for both pickling and fresh consumption. While the purchase price for producers ranges between 0.40 and 0.50 KM per kilogram, retail prices for consumers are significantly higher. Market prices continue to fluctuate based on supply and demand.
