Semboro orange cluster in Jember expands distribution via BRI financing

An orange business cluster in Semboro, Jember, East Java, has significantly expanded its distribution capabilities through access to capital and mentoring. Led by Antoni, the cluster consists of 22 members, most of whom are small-scale traders.

By utilizing financing from Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), including the People's Business Credit (KUR), members have overcome capital constraints that previously limited their ability to purchase large quantities of harvests from farmers. This support has enabled a transition from using motorcycles for transport to utilizing three-wheeled vehicles and trucks, with some operators now capable of sending up to three trucks of oranges daily to various regions across Indonesia, including Yogyakarta.
