Indonesian companies report mixed H1 2026 financial results

Several Indonesian companies reported their first-half 2026 financial results, showing mixed performance across the cement, insurance, and pharmaceutical sectors.

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) reported a 5.6% year-on-year increase in sales volume to 18.28 million tons. The company's net profit surged 445.9% to Rp207 billion, supported by a 13.1% growth in revenue to Rp17.65 trillion. SIG remains optimistic about the second half of 2026 due to recovering national demand.

PT MSIG Life Insurance Indonesia Tbk saw its net profit rise 69% year-on-year to Rp181 billion. This growth was driven by a 27% increase in renewal premiums, which reached Rp1 trillion, and an 8% rise in Contractual Service Margin (CSM) to Rp913 billion. The company maintains a strong equity position of Rp8.2 trillion.

In contrast, PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) experienced a decline in performance. Net profit fell 44% to Rp333.65 billion compared to the first half of 2025. The company attributed the drop to a strategy of normalizing distributor inventory levels. However, management expects a recovery in the second half of the year, supported by stable consumer demand and a 28% growth in export sales.
