SEMICON Taiwan 2026 is set to showcase the integration of the semiconductor ecosystem, with participants highlighting the critical role of infrastructure and specialized services in supporting AI and advanced manufacturing.
Taiwan High Speed Rail is positioning itself as a vital artery for the semiconductor industry, connecting major technology clusters in Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung. This connectivity allows for the rapid movement of talent and resources across a 350-kilometer industrial corridor, facilitating the face-to-face collaboration essential for complex supply chains.
In the energy sector, Star Power is expanding its footprint to support high-consumption industries like semiconductor manufacturing and AI data centers. The company is pursuing an IPO by 2027, driven by its green energy trading and power management services, which already include operations in Japan and Australia.
Lam Research is also participating in the event, presenting advancements in plasma etching for 3D components, Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) for silicon photonics, and panel-level fan-out packaging (FOPLP) to meet the increasing bandwidth and energy efficiency demands of AI applications.
