Semiconductor industry updates: Yeoui System to debut FPT and STATS ChipPAC Korea hosts student training

Yeoui System is set to debut its high-precision Flying Probe Tester (FPT) at the KPCA Show 2026 in Songdo, South Korea. The FPT series offers a flexible inspection solution that eliminates the need for custom jigs, allowing for rapid model transitions through software updates. The lineup includes models specialized for ultra-fine circuits on ceramic and glass substrates, flexible printed circuits (FPC), ultra-small components, and large-scale double-sided boards.

In a separate industry development, OSAT provider STATS ChipPAC Korea completed a semiconductor packaging field experience program for university students. Conducted in collaboration with the Korea Printed Circuit Association (KPCA), Incheon National University, and Chonnam National University, the program aimed to enhance industry understanding among students. The sessions covered critical trends such as 2.5D/3D packaging, glass-based architectures, and advanced interconnect technologies like thermal compression bonding (TCB) driven by the growth of AI and hyperscale data centers.
