Semiconductor technology updates: Sodick and NanoBridge Semiconductor

Sodick has announced the development of the AZ275nS, a linear motor-driven nano machining center designed to reduce production lead times in sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing, medical technology, aerospace, and data centers. The new machine features improved motor rated output and high-speed movement capabilities to enhance precision and efficiency. Domestic orders in Japan are expected to begin in January 2027, with international orders following after safety certification.

Separately, NanoBridge Semiconductor has partnered with Siemens Digital Industries Software to adopt Precision FPGA Synthesis technology for its proprietary FPGA device families, specifically the NBS6503H and NBS1201. This collaboration aims to provide an optimized design flow for customers using NanoBridge’s non-volatile FPGA technology, which is characterized by low power consumption and high reliability. NanoBridge, a spin-off from NEC, has previously demonstrated its technology in space applications through JAXA missions.
