Semiha Yıldırım becomes sole owner of Binali Yıldırım family maritime companies

A significant restructuring has taken place within the maritime companies linked to the family and relatives of former Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. According to trade registry records, various entities have been consolidated under Derin Denizcilik Gemi Taşıma Anonim Şirketi, with all shares eventually being transferred to Binali Yıldırım’s wife, Semiha Yıldırım, making her the sole shareholder.

One notable transaction involved Elia Gayrimenkul Spa Anonim Şirketi, which was transferred to Derin Denizcilik on November 18, 2022. Previously, the company was owned by the Netherlands-based Neshatech B.V., which was linked to Erkam Yıldırım. Records indicate that in 2014, Elia Spa attempted to make a conditional donation of 600,000 euros to Pendik Municipality for the construction of the Amine Hatun Mosque through Serkan Bayram, an individual who currently serves as an AK Party Istanbul MP.

Following this donation, the mosque project's total cost rose from an initial 1.75 million TL to 5.72 million TL, with the remaining balance expected to be covered by the municipal budget. Other companies, including Ceren Danışmanlık, have also been integrated into the Derin Denizcilik structure as part of this ongoing reorganization.
