Seminci 2026 announces ‘Josephine’ as Penélope Cruz attends London Film Festival

The 71st edition of the Valladolid International Film Week (Seminci) has announced several key additions to its program. Among the highlights is the film ‘Josephine’, directed by Beth de Araújo. The production, which previously won both the Dramatic Grand Jury Prize and the Dramatic Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, explores themes of childhood trauma through the eyes of an eight-year-old girl. The film stars Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan.

In related film festival news, actress Penélope Cruz attended the London Film Festival to promote her film ‘Búnker’, directed by Florian Zeller. Cruz, who co-stars in the production alongside Javier Bardem, appeared at the event wearing a custom floral Chanel dress to mark the film's presentation.
