Semnan police report high success in internet fraud and economic crime detection

Seyed Mousa Hosseini, commander of the Semnan Law Enforcement Command, reported significant achievements in regional security and crime prevention. Under the ‘Fath’ plan, police have successfully identified 95 percent of internet fraud cases in the province.

In the fight against narcotics, authorities have seized nearly 2 tons of various drugs since the beginning of the year, marking a 19 percent increase in related arrests and seizures. Economic security efforts also saw a 714 percent increase in the detection of economic crimes and corruption, alongside an 8 percent rise in the value of seized smuggled goods.

Regarding road safety, the province recorded a 10 percent decrease in fatalities and an 8 percent decrease in injuries due to the identification and mitigation of accident-prone areas. Additionally, police have seized 54 vehicles with unauthorized modifications to ensure traffic safety.
