Semnan Province increases market oversight as inflation ranking improves
Authorities in Semnan Province, Iran, have announced intensified monitoring of consumer goods markets to ensure proper supply and reduce trade violations. Hamid Dehrooyeh, the Deputy Economic Advisor to the Governor of Semnan, stated that continuous market patrols and monitoring are core strategies of the provincial Market Regulation Headquarters.
Dehrooyeh reported that these regulatory measures have led to a decrease in violations by local businesses. Additionally, the province has seen a significant improvement in its inflation index ranking, moving from 12th to 5th place among Iranian provinces in October.
Other priorities for the Market Regulation Headquarters include improving the quality of bread production and monitoring the performance of various commercial units. The government also continues to rely on public reports submitted through systems such as the 124 hotline to assist in market oversight.
