Sen. Lindsey Graham's fatal 911 call sparks demand for toxicology report
Sen. Lindsey Graham called his scheduler Saturday evening to report chest pains and asked her to call 911. The scheduler, a former staffer of Sen. Tommy Tuberville, summoned emergency responders, who arrived at Graham's Washington, D.C., residence shortly thereafter. Graham died later that night.
A preliminary autopsy by the D.C. medical examiner indicated death from an aortic dissection caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Senators John Cornyn and Tommy Tuberville have called for the release of a toxicology report to address speculation about foul play. President Donald Trump recalled a recent conversation with Graham about voter‑ID legislation shortly before the senator’s death. Graham had just returned from a trip to Ukraine.
