Sen TV initiates legal action against Cheikh Bara Ndiaye
Sen TV has announced legal action against Cheikh Bara Ndiaye, a deputy and member of the Pastef party, following public accusations of corruption. Ndiaye claimed that the television station's employees are being paid by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
The management of Sen TV, through the D-Media group, characterized these claims as “false allegations” that damage the station's honor, reputation, and editorial independence. In a statement released on October 4, 2026, the station's leadership indicated that they have instructed lawyers to initiate all appropriate legal procedures to seek redress and demand that Ndiaye provide material evidence for his claims.
The dispute has sparked significant controversy on social media and heightened political tensions in Senegal, as Ndiaye's statements are part of a series of criticisms directed at President Faye.
