Sena Madureira mayor Tony Pablo confronts protest and criticism over school funding and port conditions

Mayor Tony Pablo addressed a protest by municipal education staff, acknowledging an R$8 million fiscal impact and announcing a productivity bonus for maintenance and support workers in the Education Department. He cited a recent diagnosis of urgent school infrastructure needs, including classroom expansions, safety upgrades, library improvements and accessibility works, and said the proposal would help correct longstanding disparities for those staff.

State deputy Pablo Bregense, speaking alongside Senator Márcio Bittar, sharply criticized the municipal administration for neglecting the Second District port in Sena Madureira. He called for a mayor who cares about residents, demanded immediate repairs to ensure safety and reliable access for hundreds of families, and pledged to seek federal backing for the improvements.
