Sena Madureira newborn discharged after mother's death during childbirth

A newborn baby named Bernardo has been discharged from the hospital in Sena Madureira, Acre, following the death of his mother, 18-year-old Maria Raissa, during childbirth.

Raissa died on Tuesday after undergoing a cesarean section due to high blood pressure. According to the State Health Secretariat, she suffered a seizure and was diagnosed with eclampsia, which led to her being intubated. The family has raised concerns regarding the medical care provided and suspects negligence.

The Civil Police have opened an inquiry to investigate the circumstances of the death and determine if there was any professional responsibility involved. Bernardo is currently in good health and is under the care of his maternal grandmother, Kelle da Silva, and the baby's father.
