Senacsa and FAO advance Sigor management system for egg sector

The National Service for Animal Quality and Health (Senacsa) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are advancing the implementation of the Sigor computer management system for the egg sector. The system is designed to manage activities in regional units, control posts, and processing plants, while recording critical data on producers and animal origins to facilitate rapid response during sanitary events.

Paraguay's poultry sector is experiencing sustained growth, with egg production exceeding 3 million units per day. The industry projects a production increase of 5% to 8% by 2026, supported by new investments and increased formalization.
