Senador Canedo receives 134 free musical training spots

The Núcleo de Promoção e Desenvolvimento Artístico de Goiás (NART), an extension of the Escolas do Futuro de Goiás (EFGs) and the State Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation (Secti), is offering 134 free musical training spots in Senador Canedo.

Fifty of these vacancies are for Level 1 Musical Instruments – Friction Strings, covering violin, viola, cello, and acoustic double bass. Applications for these positions are open until August 18. An additional 84 spots are for Level 1 Guitar, though enrollment for that specific course has already concluded.

The courses consist of 80 hours of in-person instruction held at the Estação de Cultura José Rodrigues in Vila Santa Rosa. Requirements for the string instruments include a minimum age of 14 and at least an incomplete elementary education. Interested residents can apply through the EFGs website.
