SENAI and Finep launch R$ 47.5 million fund for industrial digital transformation
SENAI and Finep have launched a new call for the Smart Factory initiative, providing over R$ 47.5 million in non-reimbursable resources to support industrial technology development. The program aims to accelerate the digital transformation of Brazilian industry, specifically targeting the productivity and efficiency of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
This 11th edition of the Smart Factory program, which is part of the Brasil Mais Produtivo initiative, introduces three distinct project categories: software, hardware, and integrated solutions. Supported technologies include artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, big data, sensors, and industrial monitoring systems associated with Industry 4.0.
The funding can cover up to 70% of project costs, with the remaining 30% required as a counterpart from participating companies. For example, a proposal of R$ 800,000 could receive up to R$ 560,000 in support. Applications must be submitted through the Inovação para a Indústria platform and require a coordinating SENAI Institute. The first evaluation window is open until October 16, with additional windows potentially available through March 2027.
