Senamhi strengthens disaster prevention in Ica, Peru

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (Senamhi) is strengthening disaster prevention measures in the Ica region. During a meeting with the Provincial Municipality of Ica, officials highlighted the implementation of an early warning system for the Ica River basin, covering the area from the Challaca source to Los Molinos.

This system aims to provide hydrological monitoring to ensure timely responses to potential emergencies. Additionally, technical studies regarding the water balance of the Ica River basin are being utilized to guide future water resource management projects and improve decision-making through technical information.
