Senator Alejandro González distributes AMLO's new book in Senate

Alejandro González Yáñez, the Labor Party (PT) coordinator in the Mexican Senate, distributed copies of ‘Pueblo’, the latest book by former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to fellow legislators during a session on Tuesday.

González Yáñez reported purchasing a box of 20 copies for a total of 9,960 pesos, averaging 498 pesos per book. He clarified that the copies were obtained in advance through a contact at Editorial Planeta and displayed a receipt to demonstrate they were personal purchases rather than direct gifts from the former president.

Recipients included several prominent legislators from the Morena and PT coalitions, such as Ignacio Mier, Higinio Martínez, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, and Verónica Camino Farjat. While the book is scheduled for mass commercial release in bookstores on October 12, several senators displayed their copies to the media during the legislative session.
