Senator Ciro Nogueira Says Flávio Bolsonaro Must Face Investigation in Master Case
Senator Ciro Nogueira (PP‑PI) told TV Clube that he is neither defending nor accusing his Senate colleague Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), who is a pre‑candidate for the Brazilian presidency. Nogueira said Bolsonaro must be investigated like everyone else, adding that if he is innocent his innocence should be recognized, and if found guilty he must be punished.
Both politicians are linked to the ongoing "Master" investigation, which examines alleged financial fraud at Banco Master and the involvement of financier Daniel Vorcoro. Vorcoro reportedly funded a biographical film about former President Jair Bolsonaro with about R$ 61 million, a payment that has drawn scrutiny to Flávio Bolsonaro’s communications with the banker. Nogueira himself is also under investigation, having been targeted in the Federal Police’s Operation Compliance Zero and accused of acting on behalf of Vorcoro in Congress.
