Senator Damares Alves visits Roraima for political agenda

Senator Damares Alves (Republicanos-DF) is scheduled to visit Boa Vista, Roraima, for a political agenda alongside Senator and federal deputy candidate Roberta Acioly. During the visit, Alves is expected to participate in a press conference and officially announce her support for Acioly’s candidacy for the Chamber of Deputies.

While some reports indicate a planned mission to the Yanomami Indigenous Territory to monitor public policies, official notes from the senators' offices clarify that a formal diligence to the territory is not scheduled for this specific Saturday. However, the Permanent Subcommittee on Yanomami Indigenous Peoples, chaired by Alves, has approved a mission to the territory to oversee indigenous welfare. This mission aims to take advantage of the dry season to overcome previous weather-related obstacles that prevented access to the reserve.
