Senator Eduardo Gomes signs Youth Pact 2026

Senator Eduardo Gomes has become the first parliamentarian to sign the ‘Pacto pelas Juventudes 2026’ (Youth Pact 2026), an initiative developed by the National Youth Council. The signing took place in Palmas during a meeting with over 50 sports federations, associations, and athletic entities.

The event also initiated the drafting of a commitment letter for the youth of Tocantins, focusing on sports, culture, training, and professional opportunities. Gomes emphasized the need for structural policies involving the public sector, the federal caucus, and private initiatives to ensure accessibility and bipartisan support.

Regarding cultural support, the senator highlighted his previous work as a rapporteur for the Paulo Gustavo Law and his role in overturning the veto on the Aldir Blanc Law, both of which provide resources for artists across Brazil. The meeting was organized by the Secretariat of Youth and Sports of Palmas.
