Senator Franklin Romero funds housing for gold‑medalist’s mother and supports baseball team in Duarte, Dominican Rep

Senator Franklin Romero of Duarte province visited a construction site in San Francisco de Macorís and pledged to cover all remaining costs and furnish the house of judoka Ana Smelyn Rosa García’s mother, after the athlete won gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games. He said the government incentive will remain intact for the family’s use.

Romero later delivered a financial contribution to the baseball club Los Arroceros del Nordeste to help the team meet its obligations in the Cibao Summer League, noting that supporting local sports invests in youth, talent and community development.
