Senator Gabriel Elizondo begins legislative work for Coahuila

Senator Gabriel Elizondo Pérez has commenced his legislative duties in Mexico City, marking the start of the new session for the 66th Legislature. Elizondo has outlined a work agenda focused on representing the interests of Coahuila, specifically targeting issues such as health, education, and security.

His immediate legislative goals include presenting 10 initiatives, exhortations, and citizen proposals derived from his meetings with business leaders, educators, and civil society in Coahuila. Additionally, his schedule includes attending the installation of the Senate's Board of Directors and receiving the government report from President Claudia Sheinbaum.

Politically, Elizondo has secured support from several mayors in Coahuila, including the mayors of Monclova, Torreón, Ramos Arizpe, and Sabinas. This political backing is noted alongside his position as a potential candidate for the PRI to run for the governorship of Coahuila.
