Senator Gustavo Lara supports Ricardo de los Santos

Senator Gustavo Lara Salazar of San Cristóbal has expressed his support for Ricardo de los Santos in his leadership of the Senate of the Dominican Republic. Lara praised De los Santos for his ability to maintain stability and handle sensitive national debate topics with maturity.

Regarding local development, Lara highlighted increased public investment in San Cristóbal, citing projects such as the San Cristóbal bypass, the expansion of the Cambita-Los Cacaos highway, and improvements to municipal hospitals and police facilities.

Addressing recent allegations regarding the State Provider Registry (RPE), Lara clarified that he ceded a 10% stake in a family company in 2022 to avoid conflicts of interest, asserting he has no current economic or commercial links to the entity.
