Senator John Kennedy calls Iran and other adversaries a 'colony of reptiles

U.S. Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has drawn attention for his blunt rhetoric regarding several U.S. adversaries. During an appearance on Fox News, Kennedy described the leaders of Iran, China, North Korea, and Russia as a “colony of reptiles,” specifically identifying Chinese President Xi Jinping as the “chief reptile.”

Kennedy argued that these nations share similar characteristics and cannot be trusted. He further suggested that China possesses the influence necessary to persuade Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil shipping route, but claimed Beijing is choosing not to exercise that influence. Additionally, the Senator expressed his belief that the United States has successfully achieved its military objectives concerning Iran’s air defenses and nuclear program.

Recent online discussions have also highlighted a case of mistaken identity regarding these comments. While the provocative quote is real, it has been incorrectly attributed in some digital circles to former President John F. Kennedy rather than the current Louisiana Senator.
