Senator John Kennedy criticizes Kamala Harris and U.S. Senate

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) criticized both the Democratic Party and the U.S. Senate during recent media appearances. In an interview with Fox News, Kennedy dismissed former Vice President Kamala Harris as no longer politically relevant following her defeat to Donald Trump in the 2024 election. He also targeted the Democratic Socialists of America, using the nickname ‘Lulu Lenins’ to describe their members.

Addressing legislative issues, Kennedy expressed disappointment in the Senate’s inability to move forward with the SAVE America Act. He compared the Senate to a high school where ‘no one ever graduates,’ citing a failure to initiate the reconciliation process for military funding. Kennedy noted that while Senator Thune was prepared to proceed, a lack of majority support within the Republican conference prevented the necessary steps to advance the legislation.
