Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has released the written recipe for his wife Becky’s viral chicken salad following months of social media demand. The recipe became a sensation after a video in June showed Kennedy praising the dish on his kitchen island.

The recipe involves a homemade poached chicken base using parsley, thyme, onion, carrot, celery, and chicken breast simmered in broth. The dressing consists of mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, diced celery, shallots, fresh dill, parsley, green onions, and capers.

The social media popularity of the dish contributed to Kennedy becoming the most-followed Republican senator on TikTok.
