Senator Luis R. Sepúlveda accuses Donald Trump of corruption
New York State Senator Luis R. Sepúlveda has accused Donald Trump of being the ‘most corrupt ruler in the history’ of the United States. Speaking during a visit to Santo Domingo, the Democratic senator claimed that Trump is on a path toward ‘becoming a dictator’ if not stopped.
Sepúlveda criticized the U.S. Supreme Court, stating that recent rulings have provided Trump with protection against federal prosecution for fraud and corruption after leaving office. He further alleged that Trump has disregarded the Constitution and Congress, specifically citing concerns regarding the use of the presidency to increase personal wealth and the international business dealings of his family members.
Representing New York's 32nd District in the Bronx, Sepúlveda characterized the current political environment as an ‘oligarchy’ where wealthy associates benefit from constitutional violations.
