Senator Mario Vázquez calls for comprehensive Mexican federal government

Senator Mario Vázquez of the PAN party called for a more comprehensive federal government in Mexico during a visit to the Ignacio Allende neighborhood in Chihuahua. He emphasized that the government must address all areas impacting family quality of life, including healthcare and infrastructure.

Vázquez criticized current federal support models, arguing that social programs lack an integral policy to help citizens overcome poverty and vulnerability. He stated that instead of merely providing aid, the government should create the conditions for self-sufficiency through job creation and opportunity, noting, “It is not about just giving the fish, but teaching how to fish.”

Additionally, the senator highlighted critical deficiencies in the healthcare sector, reporting that many citizens face long waits for surgeries and struggle to access necessary medications. He argued that public policy should prioritize human dignity and address fundamental needs like road safety and medical certainty.
