Senator Olga Sosa visits Bettcher Manufacturing in Reynosa

Mexican Senator Olga Sosa Ruíz visited the Bettcher Manufacturing Corporation facilities in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, to observe precision metal stamping and robotic welding processes. The plant, which employs approximately 250 workers, focuses on maintaining productive activity through labor rights, worker safety, and dialogue between the company and the SIAMARM union.

During the visit, Sosa highlighted recent legislative advancements supported by President Claudia Sheinbaum, including the gradual reduction of the workweek from 48 to 40 hours, increased minimum wages in the Northern Border Free Zone, and improved vacation benefits. The company noted that it is working to diversify its markets in response to aluminum tariffs to protect production volumes and local employment.
