Senator Sergio Moro allocates amendments to fewest Paraná municipalities

Senator Sergio Moro (PL-PR) has allocated R$ 160 million in parliamentary amendments to 102 of the 399 municipalities in Paraná between 2024 and 2026. According to data from the SIGA Brasil platform, this coverage represents 25.6% of the state's cities, making Moro the senator in office for Paraná who has reached the fewest municipalities with effectively paid resources during this period.

In comparison, other senators have reached a broader geographic range: Flávio Arns (PSB) allocated resources to 343 municipalities, while Oriovisto Guimarães (PSDB) reached 260. The analysis focuses on funds actually transferred to municipalities, excluding mere announcements or pending commitments.

The distribution of these resources is expected to become a point of contention in upcoming political campaigns for the Paraná state government. Critics have noted that Paranaguá, home to the state's primary port, was among the cities that did not receive funds through Moro's amendments, despite the senator advocating for port infrastructure and regional access improvements.
