President Tinubu mourns death of Presidential Villa media aide Peter Onwubuariri
President Bola Tinubu has expressed grief over the death of Peter Onwubuariri, an Assistant Director of Media at the Presidential Villa. Onwubuariri, a veteran journalist, passed away in Kano at the age of 48 following a prolonged illness.
Onwubuariri had been receiving medical treatment at the Kano Cancer Hospital for approximately one month. His remains were released from the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on Tuesday and are being transported to Owerri, Imo State, for burial.
A former North American Correspondent for the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Onwubuariri rose through the ranks at the agency to become an Assistant Editor-in-Chief before joining the Presidential Villa media team in 2014. His career spanned three successive Nigerian administrations, serving under Presidents Goodluck Jonathan, Muhammadu Buhari, and Bola Tinubu.
